Four Hours From Zero: An AI Agent Workshop at Spiderhook

David Azanza ran an AI agent workshop on 25 August at Spiderhook, a Manila-based business consulting and shared-services group. The room held company heads alongside function leads from legal, finance, dev, creative and operations. That mix was deliberate.

Why leadership was in the room

Spiderhook’s leadership believes the AI push has to be top-down, and David believes that too. His position, which he gives most companies that ask where to start: leaders need to understand and use these tools themselves if they’re going to figure out where AI actually fits into the business. Someone who has never opened the tool cannot judge which parts of their operation it belongs in.

That is also why function leads sat next to the company heads rather than getting a separate session later. The people who own the day-to-day work and the people who fund the decision were looking at the same screen at the same time.

What the morning covered

The session opened on the agent mindset and the terminology, moving fast. Most people arrive knowing the words and not knowing what any of them do, and that gap closes quicker by building than by explaining.

From there it went straight into Claude Code, building a real workflow live. Every person in the room built and ran their own.

Where it went next

By the end, everyone had their workflow running. The more interesting part was what came after: people started asking how far they could take it, past the one workflow, into everything else clogging up their day.

That is the shift TigerTiger looks for in these sessions. One working thing lowers the barrier enough that the next question becomes obvious.

It also matters that the building happened in the room. AI training that stops at the idea leaves everyone with a task to do later, and later loses to whatever is due that day. Spiderhook’s team walked out with the thing already set up and running.
